団視察1日目
今日より民主党横浜市会議員団にて再生可能エネルギー・発電所を主な視察先として九州に入りました。初日は大分県九重にある八丁原地熱発電所にて発電システムの説明、メリット・デメリット、発電量など含め説明を受けました。
ここの発電所は昭和52年に国内5番目に完成し、地熱発電量としては国内最大です。1号機(55,000kW)、2号機(55,000kW)、バイナリー発電所(2,000kW)で合計112,000kWの発電能力です。この発電量で、年間20万キロリットルの石油(ドラム缶100万本）が節約出来るとのことです。正に地球に優しいエネルギーです。また、この発電所の特徴としては、蒸気を取り出した残りの熱水を再び地下に戻し再利用させ、地球の資源を有効活用しているところです。この熱水は地域でも有効活用され、ランの栽培や第三セクターにより温泉施設などにも使用されているとのことです。完成後34年を経過しているので、発電コストも原子力に匹敵する位まで下がっているようですが、日本全体の地熱発電からすると新旧、大小など様々な発電所があるので、トータル的には石油・石炭レベルとの事です。神奈川にある、扇島の太陽光発電所(13,000kW)、浮島太陽光発電所(7,000kW)と再生可能エネルギーの取り組みに注目しておりますが、良い点は確りと取り入れながら日本のエネルギー対策に取り組んで参ります。
